About the Role
We are looking for an assistant to our lead trainer for a new weekly visual arts achool for 7-11yrs in Crediton called Ani-Mates.
The successful candidate will be overseeing visual arts based activities for children, ensuring that they are undertaken in a safe and effective manner and that relevant policies and procedures are adhered to.

To contribute to the preparation of activities including the organisation & clearing of the facility at the end of the session

Supporting children participating in Ani-Mates visual arts activities

Adhering to Ani-Mates safeguarding rules and responsibilities

Help with preparing portfolios for children undertaking Arts Award qualifications
This is an entry level position, MNW for age, 3 hours a week in term time, with the option of additional hours.
Any offer of employment will be subject to an enhanced DBS clearance check

Essential Requirements

Can work late afternoons and/or weekends during term time

Have a GCSE or higher in a visual arts subject

Enjoy working with young people

Comfortable supporting the needs of the young people learning visual arts skills

Will follow Animating Devon's safeguarding and Prevent policies

Can work on own initiative
About Animating Devon CIC
Animating Devon, is a community interest company, was formed as a means to develop and promote animation education and employment in the region.
Our aims are simple, and that is to create a community for individuals and groups based in Devon, who have a common interest in developing an animation and creative skills network.
